Code of Conduct

Parent & Coach Code of Conduct

The NFL FLAG Rio League is committed to creating a positive, safe, and respectful environment for all players, coaches, officials, and spectators. Participation in this program is a privilege, not a right. By registering with the league, all parents, guardians, and coaches agree to uphold the following standards of conduct.

1. Professional Conduct

  • All parents and coaches shall conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner at all times — before, during, and after games and practices.

  • Foul language, disrespectful behavior, or negative remarks toward players, coaches, officials, or spectators will not be tolerated.

  • All participants will promote a culture of sportsmanship, integrity, and respect.

2. Respect for Officials

  • Arguing with or confronting officials during or after games is strictly prohibited.

  • Decisions made by officials are final. Any questions or concerns must be directed to league administrators in a calm and professional manner after the game.

  • Coaches are expected to set the standard for respectful behavior toward referees and league staff.

3. Positive Support

  • Parents and coaches will only cheer for their own team and players, and will not root against any opposing players or teams.

  • All encouragement must be positive, constructive, and supportive of youth development.

  • Derogatory comments or negative cheering directed at any participant or team will result in disciplinary action, including potential removal from the facility.

4. Sportsmanship Expectations

  • Parents and coaches will model good sportsmanship at all times.

  • Winning is important, but character, effort, and teamwork are the true measures of success.

  • Coaches will ensure that every player is treated with fairness, dignity, and respect, regardless of skill level or outcome.

5. Safety and Responsibility

  • All parents and coaches agree to follow league safety protocols and to encourage proper conduct that minimizes the risk of injury.

  • Coaches must ensure all players use proper equipment and follow all safety rules during practices and games.

6. Liability Waiver

By participating in the NFL FLAG Rio League, all parents, guardians, and coaches hereby accept full responsibility and liability for their participation and actions.
They further agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless:

  • NFL FLAG,

  • RCX Sports,

  • McDermott Sports,

  • and all associated owners, officers, directors, agents, and employees

from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of participation in league activities, including but not limited to injury, property damage, or other losses.

7. Violations & Disciplinary Action

Any violation of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to:

  • Warning or probation,

  • Suspension from games or practices, and/or

  • Permanent removal from the league.

No refunds will be issued in the event of suspension or removal for Code of Conduct violations.

8. Agreement to Terms

By signing below or completing online registration, the parent/guardian and coach acknowledge that they have read, understand, and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.
Failure to adhere to these expectations may result in immediate disciplinary action as outlined above.

Together, we play with respect, coach with purpose, and cheer with pride.
Let’s make every game a positive experience for our youth athletes.

Thanks for signing up!
